ONYFIX - Ingrown Toenail Repair System
Onyfix®
Onyfix is a non-surgical, pain-free nail correction system used to treat and retrain ingrown, involuted (curled), or split toenails. It acts like "braces" for your toenail, guiding the nail to grow out in a flat, natural shape without the need for needles or nail removal.
How It Works
Application: A podiatrist applies a hardened composite resin band across the widest part of your nail.
Retraining: Once cured with an LED light, the band acts as a rigid brace that maintains the nail's proper shape as it grows.
Duration: The band grows out with your nail. It is replaced or reapplied in the office every 3 to 6 months for a total treatment time of 12 to 18 months, depending on severity.
Key Benefits
Completely Painless: There is no cutting, pulling, or numbing injections required.
Diabetic Friendly: It is safe for high-risk patients who want to avoid surgical procedures.
No Downtime: You can resume all normal physical activities and even wear nail polish during the process.
Who Can Use It?
Onyfix is highly versatile and suitable for almost all patients, including children, pregnant women, and adults with vascular conditions. It is primarily used to treat:
Ingrown toenails
Pincer or severely involuted nails
Split or detached nails
Because it requires specific application techniques and a specialized toolkit, the Onyfix system must be administered by a licensed podiatrist or certified foot care specialist. To learn more or find a certified provider near you, you can visit the official Onyfix website
