About
Jessie’s Medi Pedi
I was born and raised in McMinnville and have never left this beautiful community. It brings me joy to see my 5-year-old daughter Alice growing up and thriving in this same community. I enjoy hiking, embroidery and spending time with family. For over 15 years I have worked as a caregiver/med tech with seniors, adults with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer’s and hospice patients in a variety of settings. With a young child to support I needed a more flexible schedule but did not want to give up providing care to those in my community.
I started brainstorming and I thought of how many clients I had seen with neglected feet. Diabetics, seniors and those that are immunocompromised are at especially high risk of infection, therefore caregivers cannot and should not trim diabetics toenails or reduce callouses or work on extremely thick toenails. Nail salons usually do not sterilize their instruments with an autoclave which is the only way to ensure all bacteria, viruses and spores are destroyed. I did some research and that is when I discovered what a medical nail technician is.
We are licensed nail technicians with advanced training and have completed an internship under a podiatrist. We provide safe, sterile, medically informed foot and nail care. We also adhere to higher standards of sanitation to ensure the safety of our clients. In addition to getting certified as a Medical Nail Technician I also received certification as an Advanced Nail technician and completed classes specializing in footcare for clients undergoing chemotherapy. So, if you or a loved one would like to enjoy a safe hygienic pedicure from the comfort of your home call today and book an appointment!
